Freedom Fighters is an exhilarating third-person action game that puts you in the shoes of Chris Stone, a hard-working plumber determined to resist the invasion of foreign superpowers in New York City. As you rise through the ranks, you must prove yourself as a charismatic leader of the movement.

Played from a third-person perspective, this action shooter game seamlessly blends squad-based tactics with a captivating storyline. Set in a Soviet-run New York City where the Cold War never happened, you must fight to bring freedom back to the city.

Embark on a series of semi-linear missions, where you have the freedom to choose which objectives to tackle first. However, completing the entire set is necessary to progress to the next mission.

You start with a main weapon and a secondary weapon, both with limited ammo. Throughout the missions, you can pick up new weapons and swap them with your old ones. As the leader of a group of fighters, you must build charisma by accomplishing missions in order to command and control your AI squadmates. Once your charisma is full, you can recruit other freedom fighters and have up to 12 soldiers in your ranks, whom you can command during battles.

Freedom Fighters boasts intricate and detailed environments, with intelligent and independent AI squad movements. Simply instruct your squad to attack or cover, and they will act accordingly. The enemies you face are equally impressive, providing a realistic and immersive experience.

While the game improves as you progress, increasing its challenge to match your skills and abilities, it does have a relatively short single-player campaign, which may leave you wanting more. Additionally, there is no online campaign, so you won't be able to test your skills against other players.
